The afternoon was hot but given the environment that full of nature, bird singing and the old stones seemed to whisper stories from long ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She climbed the steps and saw a remarkable green lake around the temple. The temple felt peaceful, like it held the spirit of Khmer culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the top, Danich looked out over the trees. She closed her eyes and felt the silence. In that moment, she understood\u2014Baphuon was not just a temple.
